MSE Daily Trading Report, July 06, 2018

The MSE Equity Total Return Index declined by a marginal 0.014%, to close the week at 8,712.331 points. A total of nine equites were active two of which gained ground, while four closed in negative territory. A total turnover of €196,737 was generated over 27 transactions.
Simonds Farsons Cisk plc shares declined by 0.7% to close the session at €7.15. A total of three deals saw 8,352 shares change hands. On the other hand, Malta International Airport plc closed the session 1% higher, to reach the €5.05 price level. A total turnover of €29,744 was generated across three deals.
MIDI plc shares outperformed its peers, as the equity managed to add on 0.4% to its share price, to close the session at a new all-time high of €0.49. A total of two transactions managed to generate a total turnover of €19,949. Malita Investments plc shares closed the session 0.6% lower at €0.89. A single trade of 24,450 shares was witnessed.
Meanwhile, their peers Malta Properties Company plc and Trident Estates plc closed flat despite being active during the session at €0.50 and €1.31 respectively.
Both RS2 Software plc and Loqus Holdings plc shares closed the session in negative territory to close at €1.20 and €0.07 respectively.
In the banking sector, only Bank of Valletta plc shares were active - eight times today generating a total turnover of €29,592 to close flat at €1.745.
In the sovereign debt market a total of 13 issues were active, of which nine lost ground while four headed higher. The 2.3% MGS 2029 (II) registered the strongest decline, as the bond price declined by 0.54% to close the session at €108.66. Meanwhile the 2.1% MGS 2039 (I) registered the largest advancement, as the bond price appreciated by 0.48% to close the session at the €101.89 price level.
In the corporate debt market a total of 23 issues were active of which the gainers and losers tallied to six. The 4% Stivala Group Finance plc Secured € 2027 headed the list of gainers during the session, as the bond price added on 2%, to close the week at €104.
