Local Weekly Round up — 11th August – 18th August 2006

The MSE Share Index fell by 0.69% from 5323 to 5286. Only one equity registered a gain this week. The gainer was once again IHI, rising by 2.35%. Seven equities performed all negatively, Lombard being the top loser; reducing by 6.35%. Simonds Farsons Cisk lost 3.85%, Malta International Airport lost 2.07%, BOV lost 1.28%, Middlesea Insurance lost 0.78%, Maltacom lost 0.52% while Global Capital lost 0.50%. The four other equities, HSBC, Suncrest, Plaza and Datatrak all remained unchanged during this week.
