Jesmond Mizzi Financial Services Limited launches

-Sterling Income Bonds Portfolio 2008 / 2009.

Jesmond Mizzi Financial Services Limited has recently launched two additional discretionary portfolio investment services.

The Sterling Income Bonds Portfolio-2008 and 2009, denominated in Sterling are composites of investment grade bonds and issued by foreign issuers.  The Bonds Portfolio matures in two and three years respectively with a total indicative return on the strategy of 5% and 5.1% per annum respectively.

Jesmond Mizzi, Chairman of JMFS (Jesmond Mizzi Financial Services Limited) commented  that, “the investing public continues to seek quality bonds on the international markets maturing in the short term.”

“Maltese investors particularly those who hold sterling are not attracted to switch currency as the rate of interest in this currency continues to be higher than other currencies. For the same reason investors with local currency who wish to diversify their currency exposure are also attracted to sterling,” he added.

These discretionary portfolio services will invest in investment grade bonds thus giving the investor exposure to AAA to A grade bonds. Investors will get back their capital and the last interest payment in October 2008 and September 2009 respectively. The indicative return per annum is based on the current yield to maturity of the bonds forming part of the portfolio and is subject to market movement until the pricing date when it will be fixed and advised to investors.

Potential investors may participate with a lump sum investment of at least GBP3,000 or other currency equivalent. The Income Bonds Portfolio, which is now available, has a limited offer period.

Investors should note that the underlying investments are subject to market fluctuations and the risks inherent in all investments. Past performance is not necessarily a guide to the future. The value of investments can go down as well as up and the investor may not realise the value of one’s initial capital. Currency exchange rates could have an impact on the value of the investment and the income derived there from. Redemptions on maturity of the capital invested in the underlying bonds depend on there being no default by the bond issuers. Early redemptions may not be honoured and could result in a loss on the amount invested. A one time charge of 1.25% will be incurred by investors.
