IHI announces that with effect from 21st November 2006, Mr Mustafa Khattabi has been appointed as non-executive Director and replaces Mr Abdurazagh Zmirli. Mr Mustafa Khattabi, the holder of a master’s degree in engineering, is the former Chairman of the Electricity Corporation in Tripoli. In 1982 he joined the Libyan Arab Foreign Investment Company (LAFICO) and in 1984 moved to Malta, where he chaired the Jerma Palace Management Committee for ten years. He later moved back to Tripoli as General Manager of LAFICO and in 1997 was appointed Chairman of the Libyan Arab African Investment Company. In this context, it is currently seeking the appropriate legal advice in order to take legal action against both the author of the letter as well as the newspaper publishing the same article.
