Local Weekly Round Up: 15th – 22nd December 2006

The MSE Index shed 0.74% on a weekly basis to close at 4,838.316. Ten equities were active this week, four of which registered losses while three closed in positive territory. Lombard was the week’s equity top performer gaining 4.90% while Datatrak holdings plc edged higher by 0.40% and GlobalCapital gained a mere 0.05%. On the other hand, Maltacom plc dropped 1.67%, HSBC Bank Malta plc lost 1.52%, Middlesea Insurance plc lost 1% and Bank of Valletta plc registered a minor drop of 0.28%. Malta International Airport pl, Medserv plc and FIMBank plc were also active however these remained unchanged.-
