HSBC, MIA and MIDI push MSE Index higher

The MSE Equity Total Return Index advanced by a further 0.613% as it closed at 8,192.489 points. A total of 11 equities were active, of which three headed north while another one closed in the opposite direction. Total turnover stood at €254,434 – generated over 36 transactions.
HSBC Bank Malta plc ended the session on a positive note as it closed 2.04% higher at €1.00. Six deals involving 39,144 shares were executed, generating a total turnover of €38,794.
On the other hand, Lombard Bank Malta plc was the only equity trading in the red. The bank registered a 4.76% decline, ending the session at the €2.00 price level. This was the result of a single deal of 62,513 shares. The equity registered the highest liquidity as total turnover amounted to €125,026.
Meanwhile, Bank of Valletta plc closed flat at €1.04. A total turnover of €13,023 was generated as 12,550 shares changed hands over five transactions.
Malta International Airport plc was up by 3.41% as it reached the €5.15 price level. A total of 1,000 shares were spread over four deals, worth €5,008.
In the property sector, MIDI plc ended the session at €0.444 – translating into a 9.36% increase in price. Two deals involving 6,000 shares were executed, generating a total turnover of €2,424. Meanwhile, Malita Investments plc was also active but closed unchanged at €0.80. A total of 8,750 shares changed ownership over three deals. Total turnover stood at €7,000.
RS2 Software plc was active as 12,220 shares changed hands over six deals, worth €23,218. The equity’s previous closing price of €1.90 was not impacted.
Similarly, BMIT Technologies plc closed unchanged at €0.488. Four deals involving 48,570 shares generated a total turnover of €23,702.
Retail conglomerate, PG plc saw 6,879 shares change hands over two deals. The equity’s previous closing price of €1.82 was not altered. A total turnover of €12,520 was recorded.
Elsewhere, Medserv plc and Grand Harbour Marina plc were both active but closed unchanged at €0.89 and €0.75, respectively.
In the Sovereign Debt market, out of 12 active issues, the 4.65% MGS 2032 (I) traded 0.67% higher at €151.00 while six closed in the red. The 5.1% MGS 2029 (I) closed 0.9% lower at €145.00.
In the Corporate Debt market, 19 issues were active, of which five advanced while another four lost ground. The 5.3% United Finance Plc Unsecured € Bonds 2023 headed the list of gainers with a 3.03% increase, to close at €102.00. Conversely, the 5.1% 6PM Holdings plc Unsecured € 2025 lost 5.91%. ending the session at €94.00.
In the Prospects MTF market, the 4.75% Gillieru Investments plc Secured Bonds 2028 was active as it traded 1.02% higher at €99.00.
