  • The only positive performer was Simonds Farsons Cisk plc (+4.23%).
  • The worst performers were HSBC Bank Malta plc (-5%) and Bank of Valletta plc (-0.93%).
  • The most liquid equity was Bank of Valletta plc as it traded 10 times over a spread of 19,790 shares, worth €16,912.


  • PG plc announced that the fourth Annual General Meeting shall be held on October 15, 2020.
    • The audited financial statements for the financial year ended April 30, 2020, and
      the auditors’ report thereon, are to be received and approved.

  • During a meeting held earlier on today, Simonds Farsons Cisk plc approved the group’s unaudited interim financial statements and directors’ report for the six months ended July 31, 2020.
    • Overall turnover for the six-month period to July 31, 2020, amounted to €36.8 million compared with €53.3 million for the same period last year. This translates to a decrease of 31%.
    • A 77% decline in profit before tax was recorded when compared to the €7 million generated in July 2019.
    • Earnings per share decreased to €0.053 for the six-month period when compared to €0.213 the previous year.
    • Given the current circumstances, the board does not deem that it would be appropriate to declare an interim dividend at this time. The extent of a final dividend distribution, if any, shall be determined on the basis of the full year results and the circumstances prevailing at that time.
    • The board also approved for publication the Financial Analysis Summary (FAS) in accordance with the requirements of the Listing Authority Policies in relation to the €20 million 3.50% Unsecured Bonds 2027 issued by the company in 2017.
