• The best performers were Bank of Valletta plc (+0.7%), HSBC Bank Malta plc (+0.7%) and BMIT Technologies plc (+0.4%).
• The only negative performer PG plc (-1.1%).
• The most liquid equity was HSBC Bank Malta plc as it traded three times over a spread of 63,888 shares, worth €45,360.

 

• Bank of Valletta plc announced that it has further considered the overall situation and the European Central Bank (ECB)’s subsequent recommendation issued on July 31, 2020, that until January 2021 no dividends are paid out and no irrevocable commitment to pay out dividends is undertaken by credit institutions for the financial years 2019 and 2020.
  • The board has therefore decided to withdraw its original recommendation to the Annual General Meeting to approve the payment of a final dividend in respect of financial year 2019, and to re-assess the situation during the first quarter of financial year 2021 as recommended by the ECB.
