Operations Officer
Jesmond Mizzi Financial Advisors Limited (JMFA), an investment company licensed by the Malta Financial Services Authority and a member of the Malta Stock Exchange is seeking to enhance its team of professional personnel.
JMFA offers investment advice, portfolio and wealth management, stockbroking, savings and pension plans, insurance products, and corporate services including capital-raising, listings, and financial advisory for businesses.
The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Operations Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day operational processes, ensuring accurate and timely handling of client transactions, regulatory reporting, and internal administrative tasks. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Operations.
Key Responsibilities:

- Processing and allocating client income payments, including dividends and interest.
- Posting and settlement of client monies, including FX conversions.
- Processing purchase and sale orders with fund managers.
- Processing of new bond issues and IPO applications.
- Provider and client settlements of subscriptions and redemption.
- Internal transfers of assets and cash.
- Handling corporate actions and ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Issuance of contract notes
- Reconciliation of holdings and other operational reconciliations.
- Supporting client account queries and internal requests relating to transactions and account movements.
- Assisting team members with additional operational tasks as assigned by management.
- System maintenance, data updates, and ensuring accuracy of internal records.
- Performing general administrative duties to support the department and management.
About You:
We are looking for a self-motivated and energetic individual with the ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure, with a hands-on approach to work and ‘can do’ attitude. You must also be a committed team player, meticulous and enthusiastic with a strong commitment to client service excellence.
Education & Experience:
- MQF Level 4 education in Administration, Investments, Accounting, Finance or similar
- Experience within a financial services firm will be considered an asset (but not a must have)
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- An adaptive team player who’s highly organised, meticulous and attentive to detail
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong organisational abilities
- Fluent written and spoken English
