Jean P Gaffiero is an Investment Consultant at Jesmond Mizzi Financial Advisors Limited besides being a shareholder through a holding company.
He started his career with one of the big four audit firms where he served on the audit team for five years till 1989. The time at Deloitte served as a perfect foundation on which he built his analytical skills. In 1989 he moved on to work for Commercial Union’s Malta Insurance Agency where he was appointed Financial Controller.
In 1995 Jean set up Atlas Investment Services Limited, a company which later merged with Jesmond Mizzi Financial Advisors Ltd. He was accepted as the twelfth member of the Malta Stock Exchange in 2000. He served as Secretary to the College of Stockbroking Firms between 2000 and 2003, was elected Deputy Chairman of the College in 2011 and was their representative on the FIAU (Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit) till 2012.
He has held various directorships in the financial services industry which included companies in Forex trading as well as a Professional Investor Fund and has presented various seminars with an investment theme.
Jean is a fellow of the Malta Institute of Accountants and an affiliate of the Market Technicians Association.
