Jesmond Mizzi is the Managing Director of Jesmond Mizzi Financial Advisors Limited and non-Executive Director of Hili Ventures Limited, besides being a shareholder through a holding company.

He has been involved in the financial services industry for over 23 years. In 2002 he co-founded Jesmond Mizzi Financial Services Limited after having served as finance and compliance manager, as well as investment and sales director, of a listed local financial services company in Malta. He also served as a member of the investment committee of a local SICAV.

Prior to moving to the financial services sector, Jesmond spent six years managing a family catering business. He also served as a director of Premier Capital plc, which is the franchisee of McDonalds in Malta, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Greece and Romania and headed the audit committee of the same company.

He is presently chairman of the audit committee of Hili Ventures Limited. Hili Ventures is the holding company of a diversified group with a deep-rooted entrepreneurial heritage dating back to 1923. Through its divisions, Hili Ventures is engaged in multi-sited activities with McDonald’s and Apple, logistics, engineering, technology, and property. Hili Ventures extends its presence to 10 countries across Central and Eastern Europe and North Africa with a team of 9,000 people.

Jesmond spent seven years at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he obtained extensive auditing skills, and he is an affiliate member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He attended St. Edwards College in Malta and studied in the UK to complete his ACCA.

Jesmond is a business columnist on The Times and The Sunday Times and is a regular guest on various television programmes. He also served as President of the Malta Investment Funds Association and Chairperson of the Financial Services Consultation Council within the Malta Financial Services Authority.
