Simonds Farsons Cisk plc – Approval of 6 months report and interim dividend 2008

Simonds Farsons Cisk plc announced that at its meeting held today 30th September, 2008, the Board of Directors approved the group’s financial statements and half yearly report for the six month period ending on 31st July 2008.

The Group registered a profit before tax of EUR 1.52 million, compared to a profit before tax of EUR 3.312 million registered in 2007. During this period, turnover amounted to EUR 35.306 million, an increase of 4.6%. Gross Profit Margin for the period decreased from 23.4% to 21.5%

The Board of Directors also resolved to distribute, out of tax exempt profits, an interim dividend of EUR 0.0078 per share on all ordinary shares. This dividend will be paid on 24th October 2008 to the ordinary shareholders on the Register as at the close of business on 10th October 2008. This will amount to a total interim net dividend of EUR 200,000.
