MSE Daily Trading Report, 30 April, 2020

The MSE Equity Total Return Index remains relatively unchanged as it closed at 8,283.810 points. Eight equities were active, of which two headed north while another three closed in the opposite direction. A total turnover of € 132,672 was generated over 34 transactions.

In the banking industry, Lombard Bank plc was the worst performer as it closed 4.76% lower at €2.00. Its peer, Bank of Valletta plc shares traded flat during the session at €1.05. A total of seven transactions generated a total turnover of €21,988.

Telecommunications firm, GO plc, registered a decrease of 2.63% to close the session at €3.70. A total turnover of €14,840 was generated over three transactions involving 4,000 shares.

Its subsidiary, BMIT Technologies plc also registered a decline of 1.64% to close at €0.48.

Malita International Airport plc as well as RS2 Software plc both ended the week in positive territory. MIA shares closed the session 2% higher at €5.10 as 8,782 shares changed hands across nien transaction. Meanwhile, RS2 shares closed 1.98% higher at €2.06 as eight deals involving 12,340 shares were executed.

Elsewhere, PG plc and Harvest Technology plc were both active but closed unchanged at €1.85 and €1.46, respectively.

In the Sovereign Debt market, out of 11 active issues, two advanced while six closed in the red. Both the 4.3% MGS 2033 (I) and the 4.1% MGS 2034 (I) closed 0.67% higher at €151 and €150 respectively. Conversely, the 2.4% MGS 2041 (I) declined by 5.1%, to close at €131.

In the Corporate Debt market, 19 issues were active, of which seven closed higher while four traded lower. The 6% Mediterranean Investments Holding plc Euro 2021 headed the list of gainers as it closed 5.31% higher at €98.99. On the other hand, the 4% Merkanti Holding plc Secured € 2026 registered the weakest performance during the session trading 1% lower at €99.00.

In the Prospects MTF market, the 4.25% Calamatta Cuschieri Finance plc Unsec Call 2024-2026 was active as it traded once, ending the session at €101.00.
