Maltacom has announced that it has signed the Interconnection agreement with Melita Cable plc.

Bank of Valletta

–

The Government Privatisation Unit, by its letter dated 4th October 2006, has informed Bank of Valletta plc that the Government of Malta (“GM”) has decided to take its BOV shareholding off the market for the time being, and to cease any further proactive marketing efforts at this time.

In January 2005 the GM and Banco di Sicilia (“BdS”) had agreed jointly to appoint Rothschild SpA as independent financial advisors to assist them with the sale of their respective shareholdings in BOV. GM’s shareholding amounts to 25.22% of the issued capital of BOV, whilst BdS represented a 14.55% of the holding.  Please click on the above heading to view official announcement.
