MSE Daily Trading Report, 26 June 2020

The MSE Equity Total Return Index registered a marginal increase of 0.055% as it reached 8,318.320 points. Nine equities were active, of which three advanced while one closed lower. A total turnover of €90,024 was generated across 25 transactions.

In the banking sector, FIMBank plc shares was the only equity which registered a gain on its share price of 2.44%, to close at $0.42.

Its peer, Bank of Valletta plc, registered a decline of 0.98% as it closed at €1.01. Five deals involving 21,500 shares were executed, worth €21,730.

Meanwhile HSBC Bank Malta plc closed flat at €0.96. The equity traded four times over a mix of 4,625 shares. Total turnover stood at €4,440.

RS2 Software plc registered the highest liquidity as total turnover amounted to €28,560. A total of 11,950 shares were spread over six deals, leaving no impact on the equity’s previous closing price of €2.40.

BMIT Technologies plc ended the session in positive territory as it traded 2.94% higher.  A total turnover of € 13,720 was generated over two trades. The equity closed at €0.49.

On the same note, Malita Investments plc advanced by 1.68% to €0.91. A total of 7,350 shares exchanged hands over three deals.

Retail conglomerate, PG plc, traded once over 3,300 shares but closed unchanged at €1.97. Similarly, International Hotel Investments plc remained unchanged at €0.595 with a sole deal of 2,000 shares.

Malta International Airport plc was active but closed unchanged at €5.80. A total of 1,010 shares were spread over two deals.

In the Corporate Debt market, out of 21 active issues, which five gained ground, while seven declined. The 4.35% SD Finance Unsecured Bonds 2027 registered the largest advancement as well as turnover during the session. The bond price appreciated by 1.34% at €101.35 on a turnover of €52,670 over 10 transactions. On the other hand, the 4.25% Corinthia Finance plc Unsecured € 2026 lost 1.47%, ending the session at €100.50.

In the Sovereign Bond market a total of seven issues were active during the session of which three advance while one closed lower. The 4.3% MGS 15.05.2022 (II) was the only issue which declined closing at €107.92.

In the Prospects MTF market, three issues were active, of which two traded higher while the 4.75% Gillieru Investments plc Secured Bonds 2028 closed unchanged at €102.00. The 5% Horizon Finance plc Secured Callable € Bonds 2026-2029 registered the best performance with a 1.5% movement in price, to close at €101.50.
