Jesmond Mizzi Financial Advisors Limited (JMFA), an investment company licensed by the Malta Financial Services Authority and a member of the Malta Stock Exchange is seeking to enhance its team of professional personnel.
JMFA offers investment advice, portfolio and wealth management, stockbroking, savings and pension plans, insurance products, and corporate services including capital-raising, listings, and financial advisory for businesses.

You will be involved and working alongside a team of highly capable individuals, whilst being mentored by both local and international experts (portfolio managers) on a daily basis.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual seeking to build a career in investment research and portfolio management. While the position involves a number of routine operational and administrative responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in investment research and analysis from an early stage. You will participate in discussions relating to macroeconomic and microeconomic developments, financial markets, and investment strategy, gaining valuable exposure to the decision-making processes that underpin portfolio management.
This is a unique opportunity to work within our asset management team and be involved in contributing towards managing our Morningstar rated investment funds. You will have the opportunity to grow within the team and company.
Core Responsibilities will include:
- Financial analysis and contributing towards the team’s investment process and internal procedures;
- Assisting the team on the daily operational tasks;
- Reviewing and maintenance of internal investment tools.
- Overseeing daily risk related duties and risk analysis.
- Preparation of research reports related to listed companies or specific countries;
- Assisting the portfolio managers on the allocation and communication process;
Requirements:
- A degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting or investment related degree (or similar);
- Experience as an investment analyst would be considered an asset;
- Good knowledge and a genuine interest in following financial markets;
- Analytical and good time management skills and the ability to work independently;
- Be a meticulous person and capable of working under pressure when it is necessary;
- Being IT savvy or having analytical IT skills will be considered an asset;
- Fluency and good writing skills in English.
